Letter From The President

Dear Friends of Kids' Chance:

The first Kids' Chance organization was founded in Georgia in 1998. It has now grown to over 40 state chapters nationwide.

I am proud to write to you as a volunteer of the Delaware Chapter, Kids' Chance of Delaware, Inc., formed as a 501(c)3 organization in April 2017.

Our sole mission is to provide scholarship funding to high school graduates whose parent or guardian has either been fatally or seriously injured while employed in Delaware.

The mission of Kids' Chance of Delaware, Inc. is of vital importance to the Delaware community, particularly since children of fatally or seriously injured parents require assistance with their educational goals.

Writing to you as an attorney who has long practiced in the workers' compensation system, the loss of income which occurs when a worker is fatally or seriously injured on the job, without question seriously diminishes, if not outright eliminates, all potential financial support required to afford post-secondary education.

Kids' Chance of Delaware, Inc. allows for a wide variety of companies and organizations to come together and support in a worthy cause. This support includes insurance companies, self-insured groups, attorneys, medical providers and other industry segments. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Kids' Chance of Delaware, Inc. will use 100% of all donations to award scholarships to deserving students.

Kids' Chance of Delaware, Inc. was created to build on the success of other state organizations and in conjunction with Kids' Chance of America. We are always excited and anxious to welcome new volunteers who will support our mission as we forge ahead. If you are interested in working with this dynamic group of individuals, please contact us at kcdeinfo@gmail.com.

We look forward to joining forces to help fulfill the educational and career dreams of Delaware youth and their families.
